Raise your hand if you love stealing good ideas? If you're in the office and don't want to look silly, a smirk and little nod will do just fine. We know that members want to keep conversations going all year long, outside of the mixers, workshops and the conference. And it was this need for connecting and sharing that prompted us to launch the SocialLink community forum in the first place. Fast forward a few years later, and we've found a tool we think you'll like a LOT more -- the LTEN On-the-Go app.

We debuted the LTEN On-the-Go member and event app just ahead of this year's June conference. The mobile solution boasted some pretty nifty features including a new Forums section, which is what will replace SocialLink starting August 1.

The Skinny on the App
Let's be honest. There are some pretty cool event apps out there with oodles of crazy features. But the big downside is that their only purpose is to help you navigate an event and serve as a reference tool when you're back at the office. We wanted to offer members a true year round experience that extended beyond the conference. Here's a quick look at some of the app's features:

Forums: Right now, you'll find a thread being moderated by Penn State's Nicole Wang on all things L&D tech... AI, VR and more. Plus, a section for members looking Recommendations. We'll add more Forums discussion groups in the coming months. Members, yes you, will help drive the discussions here. If you have notifications turned on, you'll see an alert for new forum posts.

Messages: Use this handy feature to privately message members using the app or create private group messages.

Events: Quickly view and sign-up for all LTEN events through the events tab.

Profile: Once you've signed in, you'll be able to see and easily update your profile. You'll also find your bookmarks, favorite contacts and any notes you take here.

News Feed: Find news, updates and more in the News Feed. And post your own updates or contribute to other member's posts. This is a great place to share your news, favorite articles or video.

More: Under this handy tab, we have the Forums, additional resources (like conference slides) and notifications. In the coming month's we'll be adding more to this section to make it your go-to for some of your favorite LTEN features.

In the Works
We'd be liars if we said this was the most perfect tool you'll ever use. Rome wasn't built in a day, and technology is no different. Over the course of months, we'll be working closely with the developer to improve the app in every way we can.

I've created a little spot in the app's forums, labeled "App Ideas & Feedback." This is a place where you can share ideas or thoughts about the app. Give us ideas for functionality or report any blips you come across. We received feedback from conference go-ers and we're already hot on the case.

What's Next?
For sure, step #1 should be to download the app

You can find the download links here or you can search for LTEN On-the-Go in your app store. Once you've downloaded the app, you'll use your LTEN username and password to login.

If you're like me and can barely remember your kids' birthdays, let alone a password you set up forever ago, click here to reset your password. We also have a handy chat button on our website and you can hit us up that way during normal business hours.

If you already have the app and maybe had trouble getting in or had some challenges, I ask that you give it another shot. You're welcomed to email me directly and I'll be happy to help you get into the app and on your way. Nearly a third of our members are already using the app, and we'd hate for you to miss out.
